Dr. Brad Albertson

Giving People Something To Smile About

Originally from Iowa, Dr. Brad Albertson has been a dedicated orthodontist in the Austin community since 2019, drawn by the city’s warm weather and vibrant music scene. He joined the practice in 2023, working alongside Dr. Jeannie Moody, and became the proud owner in 2025. Dr. Brad is committed to providing exceptional orthodontic care to the communities of South Austin and Dripping Springs, combining his extensive expertise with a personalized approach to create beautiful, confident smiles for his patients.

Becoming an Orthodontist

To become an orthodontist, a dentist must complete an additional 2 to 3 years of specialized training at an accredited program, focusing on facial harmony, occlusion, and the biomechanics required to move teeth. Dr. Brad earned his Bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa. After graduating, he pursued advanced orthodontic specialty training at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. During his residency, he received advanced certification in Invisalign, early treatment, surgical orthodontics, 3D imaging, and temporary anchorage devices (miniscrews).

Dr. Brad is actively involved in the orthodontics community as a member of the Texas Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, Southern Society of Orthodontists, and American Association of Orthodontists. He is a published author and has presented his research at several national orthodontic conferences.

Dr. Brad Albertson

Board Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Brad is a board-certified orthodontist, a distinction achieved by only about one in three orthodontists. This certification, granted by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), involves a rigorous, voluntary process that includes both written and clinical examinations. Orthodontists must demonstrate their knowledge, clinical skills, and judgment through detailed case reports covering a broad range of orthodontic issues. Achieving board certification signifies an orthodontist’s dedication to providing the highest standard of patient care and their commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

Details Matter

Dr. Brad believes in treating each case individually and spends time with each patient at every visit. He emphasizes educating his patients and communicating all aspects involved with their orthodontic treatment to ensure excellent clinical care.

Beyond the Clinic

Outside of the office, Dr. Brad is an avid sports fan and music enthusiast. You’ll often find him cheering on his favorite teams (Go Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana Fever!) or enjoying live music around town. He is a huge movie buff and has seen every flick on the American Film Institute’s list of Top 100 Movies. Dr. Brad is also a bit of a foodie and enjoys seeking out new restaurants to add to his ever-expanding list of area favorites. His love for travel also keeps him on the move, but he’s always happy to return home to the vibrant Austin community.
